The Velveteen Rabbit - A Storybook Musical
Grade 3-4

This summer, young performers are invited into a world of wonder with The Velveteen Rabbit: A Storybook Musical, a joyful and heartfelt adaptation of the beloved classic. Through lively songs, playful characters, and tender moments, the roles are crafted to give every child an opportunity to shine—whether they are stepping onstage for the first time or returning with growing confidence.
Set in a child’s nursery where toys come alive, the story follows the Velveteen Rabbit—a shy, stitched-together toy who longs to be loved and accepted. Guided by wise friends and challenged by moments of doubt, the Rabbit discovers that love, empathy, and courage can transform not only who we are, but how we see others.
More than just a musical, this summer experience helps children:
- Build confidence through singing, acting, and movement
- Practice collaboration, listening, and teamwork
- Explore themes of kindness, resilience, and self-worth
- Learn that being “real” means being brave enough to be yourself
Because the final performance is such an important and joyful part of the experience, all enrolled students must be available to participate in the show on the scheduled date. Please check your availability before enrolling. Come be part of a summer where imagination blossoms.
