Lights, Camera, Action: Create Your Own Stop Motion Animation!

Get ready to bring your imagination to life in this hands-on stop motion animation class designed for students in grades 5–8! Over the course of three fun-filled weeks, you'll dive into the exciting world of animation using a variety of techniques, including claymation, toy animation, hand-drawn animation, and live-action animation. You'll learn the fundamental principles of stop motion, from frame-by-frame movement to creating smooth transitions. But that's just the beginning! We'll explore: Story Development: Craft engaging plots and storylines. Character Creation: Design characters with dynamic emotions and personalities. Special Effects: Add magic with lighting, sound effects, and camera tricks. Work collaboratively and independently to develop unique projects that showcase your creativity and storytelling skills. On the final day, we’ll celebrate your hard work with a Viewing Party, where friends and family can enjoy your cinematic creations. Plus, you'll take home a copy of your projects on a DVD, flash drive, or via email, so you can share your masterpieces with the world! Are you ready to make movie magic?
