Lights, Camera, Action: Create Your Own Stop Motion Animation!
Grade 4-8

In this 2-period class, player-learners create their own short stop motion animated films/series from the ground up—writing a story, building characters and sets and capturing frame-by-frame photos to animate their ideas. They experiment with lighting and sound design, as well as, intermediate editing techniques while learning how professional animators plan scenes and shots. The class ends with a mini “Hollywood-style” premiere so everyone can share their finished films with family and friends.

Screen time: Cumulative 3.75 hours or around 10-20 minutes per session inclusive of mini lessons, lectures.
