Intensive Algebra
Grade 10-12

This rigorous, fast-paced course covers the full scope of Algebra II, along with select pre-calculus topics. Students will explore polynomials, systems of equations, matrices, complex numbers, linear functions, conic sections, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometry, probability, counting principles, sequences and series, solving systems, and transformations. Designed to provide a strong foundation for advanced mathematics, this course also serves as an excellent review for the SAT Math Level II exam. Due to the extensive material covered, the class meets from 2:05 PM to 4:30 PM daily. Students should expect at least an hour of homework each night. Polytechnic students can use this course to accelerate into the advanced math track in the upper school.
Note: This course is a two-period class, F and G periods, and meets across both sessions of the summer program – THIS IS A SIX WEEK COURSE
