Students are introduced to how to use basic manners in their everyday lives. From the proper way to shake hands and make eye contact, to learning how to set a formal table and the best way to accept gifts and answer cell phones. Students will also spend time reflecting on the impact of manners and why in this day and age, etiquette is still a crucial and respectful part of society. Students will work with classmates to create posters, table-setting relay races, and memorize and recite in front of the class an easy poem on what having good manners really means. Learning is also supported with videos and age-appropriate books.
