In this creative three-week class, students will explore the exciting world of drawing, painting, and collage! We’ll dive into fundamental art concepts like perspective, composition, and color, using a range of mediums, from pencil and charcoal to watercolor and acrylic paint. Inspired by artists and cultures from around the world, students will learn techniques for shading, layering, and more. Whether sketching, painting, or collaging, everyone will get a chance to create unique, vibrant pieces while building their artistic skills. Get ready to bring your imagination to life on the canvas! Note: Over the three weeks, students will watch one short (5-minute) educational video each week about a famous artist. These kid-friendly biographies help introduce the artist’s life and work and directly support the project students will complete.
