Dodgeball
Grade 5-7

Love it or hate it, Dodgeball has been played on playgrounds world wide since at least the 1800’s. While some view the sport to be savage and barbaric, Dodgeball is actually becoming more legitimate through organizations such as the World Dodgeball Federation, World Dodgeball Society, USA Dodgeball, and others. Dodgeball promotes teamwork, integrity, inclusion, and aims to be accessible to as many players as possible. Students will learn the standard rules and variations of Dodgeball with an opportunity everyday to play. Students will get to use both foam and non-string rubber dodgeballs - two of the most common dodgeball types today, and both dodgeballs are designed to have minimal impact for those worried about injuries. This is a great class for active students who need a chance to move their bodies with some friendly competition. Come learn to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and… dodge in a fun and safe environment.
