Creative Tales – A Short Story Writing Adventure
Grade 6-9

In this engaging and interactive writing course, students will explore the art of crafting short stories while reinforcing and enhancing their foundational writing skills. Through a variety of creative exercises and assignments, students will learn to develop characters, build compelling plots, and create vivid settings. Alongside their work on short stories, they will revisit key writing elements such as grammar, sentence structure, and paragraph organization. By the end of the course, students will have a deeper understanding of how to express their ideas effectively, with a particular focus on narrative writing. Emphasis will be placed on the revision process, peer feedback, and developing confidence as writers. This course encourages creativity, critical thinking, and communication, setting students up for success in future writing endeavors.
