Clay Lab - Pinch, Coil, and Create!
Grade 5-6

Upper-elementary students take their clay skills to the next level through more complex, intentional building. They learn how to design layered forms, incorporate sculptural details, and experiment with glazing techniques such as layering colors, using underglazes, or carving textures.

Projects may include lidded jars, lanterns, detailed character sculptures, narrative tiles, or themed diorama scenes. Creative independence and problem-solving are emphasized throughout the class
