If you designed the perfect city, what would it look like? Would it be filled with toy stores, sports stadiums, and playgrounds—or something entirely different? In this hands-on course, students will brainstorm what makes a city a wonderful place to live and explore how communities are planned. Using boxes and found objects, students will design and construct their own model city while making thoughtful decisions about land use, facilities, and layout. Creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration are at the heart of this course.
