This class introduces students to the sport of water polo through structured drills, exercises, and gameplay designed to develop fundamental skills. Instruction focuses on passing, shooting, ball control, positioning, and basic game concepts.
Session 1 emphasizes individual skill development and foundational techniques. Session 2 builds on these skills by introducing team play, game strategy, and situational awareness. Students enrolling only in Session 2 may spend additional time reinforcing skills introduced during Session 1, as needed.
Classes are staffed with certified instructors and lifeguards, maintaining appropriate student-to-instructor ratios and multiple lifeguards on deck at all times to emphasize safety and individualized attention.
Prerequisite: Students should be comfortable with basic swimming skills and able to tread water continuously for up to five minutes.
Students are required to bring a swimsuit, towel, and shoes.
