Beginning Archery
Grade 6-12

Cultivate your inner Robinhood, Merida or Katness Everdeen—join the adventure! Archery has a history dating back to the Stone Age. Practiced in nearly all cultures of the world, references to archery appears in Greek and Roman mythology as well as more recently in books and movies. Anyone capable of understanding and following instructions can learn to shoot a bow. In this 3 week course, students will be introduced to basic techniques of outdoor archery. The instruction will emphasize the care and use of equipment, range safety, stance and shooting techniques. This course is meant for beginners with no prior archery experience. All equipment will be provided and instruction will be given by a certified instructor. Come and experience the ancient sport of archery!
