Algebra - Bridging to High School

NOTE: This is a double period class that meets for periods D&E

This course utilizes graphing calculators in a structured environment to explore how transformations can be used to manipulate, graph, and solve complex equations, as well as provide an introduction to the unit circle and basic definitions of trigonometric functions. This course is designed to introduce incoming ninth-graders to the math sequence at Polytechnic School. It will enhance any student’s understanding of mathematics and will help him or her be more successful in math courses beyond the first year of Algebra.
