Bildungsroman - Crafting Your Coming of Age Story
Grade 5-8

In this creative writing class, player-learners explore how characters grow and change in classic coming-of-age stories, then use those models to write their own. They examine voice, setting and character arcs, and draft short narratives that blend imagination with real-life experiences. By the end, each student has a polished piece that captures a meaningful “chapter” in a character’s journey—possibly their own.
Screen time: Cumulative 4-5 hours or around 15-20 minutes per session inclusive of mini lessons, lectures and techtorials.
