Sports Business - Understanding Sports as a Business
Grade 6-9

What happens when we look at sports not from a "fanatic" point of view and start looking at sports ownership as the business that it is. Come to this class so you can learn how sport ownership is simply another form of entrepreneurship, and learn how this impacts the decisions made by sports franchises. In this class, we will revitalize the NBA and you will build your own winning franchise from starting a new team, making business decisions, and drafting a winning team. We will also look at how other sports, like soccer, football, baseball, and possibly hockey, differ in their business models. If you think you can make better decisions than the leadership of your favorite team, come to this class and give it a try.
Tech & Video Content: There is some component of tech based research and the use of AI in creating logo designs and designing franchise uniforms.
